I think it's supposed to be glued to the metal shift stalk. Mine
only falls off becuase it's cracked on the back side. See if it
wiggles, and if it does it'll pull straight off. Be careful, there's
not much slack in the wires. If it doesn't wiggle, I'm not sure what
the "proper" removal technique is.
