I don't know that I believe that. I almost ordered my truck and ended up not
because I couldn't get the 4.7 at the time. This was in February of 2000,
ordering a 2000 model year vehicle. I ended up taking a truck off the lot
with the V6 because they didn't have any V8's with the options/colors I
wanted and that was more important.
Wikipedia is notorious for being incorrect with dates. Hell, I think the 318
is even in my FSM.
