Hmmm... I think I'm going to have to do the big "NEVER MIND". I was looking
around on their site, and noticed that if you purchase the tires in the US,
the manfacturing and treadwear warranties are only valid if you live in the US
and use the vehicle in the US most of the time. I can handle if I have to
take them back across the border to get a replacement, but the warranty
becomes completely void if they figure out we live in Canada (all it would
take is someone at the shop glancing at the license plate). Bridgestone
Canada only covers tires purchased in Canada. So, it looks like I'll be
buying them in Canada. I've had enough tires turn to junk on me that I want
that warranty.

Rats. Well, if I mail order them from British Columbia, it seems that I only
have to pay 7% sales tax instead of 15%, so that helps out. I'll have to see
how that compares to the shipping.
