Well there you go my friend, good stuff. I have seen those rotors goof up
when the little metal piece just slid over..., sure plays heck with
timing...
Glad you got it going, yah, could have caused your coil to die.

Replacing my power steering pump tomorrow...150k on mine, just broken in
compared to yours though

hey rickster

i popped the cap off this morning and found the cap and rotor a
mess....i put a new pick up, cap and rotor on her and still no
spark....went back for a coil and she fired right up :-)

maybe what was going on in the distributor blew the coil out?

funny cause the last time i started her up i heard this sorta ticking
noise that could only be heard from in the cab and not from under the
hood.....it must have been the rotor going....i was worried that the
noise was something else....she's got over 220,000 miles on her....
