To tell the truth, I'm undecided on the look. But, the appearance is
not what attracts me to Jeeps. For me, it's about function over
fashion. This is a Real Jeep with an open top and actual cargo room
inside. It's like an XJ with a top and doors that come off and
windshield that folds down and available with a factory Rubicon package
with 32" tires. I like the current Unlimited model, and I like having
the idea of the second set of doors to improve access. I'd have to see
it in person before deciding if the extra doors actually make things
easier or more cumbersome. Since we don't carry human passengers that
often, my criteria are somewhat different.

They've been floating concepts since the Dakar in 1997
(http://www.allpar.com/model/jeep/dakar-icon.html, also check out the
Rescue from 2004
http://www.allpar.com/model/concepts/concepts-2004.html). Rumors have
been flying around since then that they were on the verge of putting a
4-door Wrangler in to production, I guess it was just a matter of time.
Now all we need is a Scrambler style pickup to become a reality
(http://www.allpar.com/model/jeep/gladiator.html). You can get an
aftermarket version if you've got more money than you know what to do
