Jason, I'm not sure what the difference is and I
couldn't find the tech tip that says so. I believe the
hitch company maybe incorrectly referring to the R/T
model as the "sport" model since it has the lower air
valance on the front. Just a guess on my part but it
seems logical. If you really want to find out for
sure, contact the hitch company tech support and ask
them directly.
But the question that begs answering is, what
deviltry, that would require a front mounted hitch,
are you up to now? Inquiring minds want to know!!
