My wife came home this afternoon complaining of our 2003 Durango. She
said that while driving the cruise control cut off while driving home. It
has 83,500 miles on it.
I looked at the dash when she came home and the MIL light is on steady.
I used the key sequence to pull the ODBII codes, P0340 and P0344
These are listed as
P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
P0344 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent
'Google' searches tell me:
The sensor is on the front of the passenger side head, pointing down, in
front of the exhaust port. It comes off the head in a perpendicular
mounting position.
So now I'll check the connections and clean if necessary and reset the
codes.
Anybody else seen these codes?
What further diagnostics should I do?
