=20 Dusty, Evan and I arrived home at 1:00am this morning after a 800
mile day = of driving from Colby, Kansas. Obviously we didn't make it
very far on Fri= day before stopping for the night. Although our time
with the DML passed t= oo quickly, it's still nice to be at home.
I have a somewhat u= nique perspective on this meet, as an outsider,
basically. Before this mee= t I had never spoken to or met any member
of the DML, though I've been lurk= ing (and rarely posting) since
1999. I was nervous joining the meet, not k= nowing exactly what we
were getting into or who we'd be camping with.
My nervousness was unfounded. Hanging out with the DML was a great=
time. You're a fun group, and made us feel very welcome. As
I=E2=80=99ve = read about in the past and experienced on this trip,
you do anything you ca= n to help each other.
I enjoyed meeting you all, putting faces = to the names, and being a
part of your adventures. We did a quick survey, = and discovered that
nearest participant traveled 700 miles and that the fur= thest was
2000 miles. I for one can say it was worth the journey. I hope = we
can meet up again in the future.
I've put the pictures I too= k online at:
