Pumping the pedal while trying to start will almost always result in
flooding. If you have to keep your foot on the pedal for a while to keep
it running, you may have low battery voltage. Easy to check with a
voltmeter before you try to start it. Should have at least 12.5v. If
not, try having the battery charged and see if the problem repeats.

Might be a bad Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). For any troubleshooting, a
scanner is your best friend.

May also be a vacuum leak. Check all hoses and connections.

No idea right now why this may happen.

Of all the coils that have died on me, none gave any warning. They either
worked fine.....or they didn't work at all. If you still have the stock
one, try it.
