An '00 w/ a 5.2? That's a rare one! I thought the 5.2 was dropped
entirely for '00, replaced w/ the 4.7.
But, your question. I had Rancho RS5000s on my '99, and they were firm,
almost rough - but they're offroad shocks. I liked them a lot though.
I put Edelbrock IAS shocks on my '03 QC and they were nice - more
comfortable than the Ranchos, but good control as well. For twice the
price, they'd better be :). The IAS is a self-adjusting/sensing type shock.
A few folks 'round here have the Rancho RS9000s, which are the
adjustable ones. You can go "manual" on the adjustment, which means
reaching under each corner to twist a knob on each, or you can get the
extra kit to have an in-cab adjustment (air lines).
