You might want to copy this email you are sending us to them as well. Also,
share the name of the dealership.

Thanks,

Subject: DML: Update on the P0601 Code...Imagine that..

So I finally got around to calling the dealership where I bought my
Dakota. Keep in mind, it's a 2001 ( 37k miles ) and I ended up knowing the
Business Manager and he threw in a bumper to bumper 12k / 12 month warranty.

And of course he's out for the week.....the salesman wasn't either. So I
ended up talking to one of the other Managers. He actually remembered me. So

I tell him what's up with the truck, he says he'll call me back.

    Surprise, surprise..about 20 minutes later I get a call back..this was
Wednesday afternoon, and I was at work. It's the Service Manager. I explain
what's wrong etc...she tells me no problem, they also have a Dodge
dealership...asks me when I can get it in. I take it in this morning. I
wasn't in there 20 minutes. They took the truck, already had an appointment
set up down the road at their Dodge dealership. She even set up a rental
for me...at NO charge. So the rental car guy picks me up...and asks me what
kind of vehicle I want...he says that the Dealership was paying for
everything, and I could pick what I wanted. Well I need a truck...right out
front is a 06 Silverado ext cab 4x4. Within 10 minutes I'm on the way home.

Fast forward this afternoon...the Service Manager calls me back. Tells
me that they want to replace the PCM...they tried a reflash but they weren't

satisfied. Also told me he was making sure all the TSB's and recalls had
been performed on my truck So he tells me they have to order the part, and
just to keep the rental on them, until Monday or Tuesday. He also said that
I had mentioned the AC not blowing THAT cold...he said once they had the PCM

done they would do a complete evac, flush and charge of the AC system. My
cost? NADA........zilch.

So even though the truck gave me the error...the dealership is doing
MORE than their part, especially on a USED vehicle.

I'll be recommending this place to all my friends...that's for sure.
