You don't have to remove or hack the shroud to get the clutch fan off a
genIII, I took mine off with no problem

That should be doable, there is never a shortage of folks
willing to turn some wrenches on a vehicle. Just make sure you
impress upon them that it is only a clutch fan swap and not an
axle swap, or you may find that important suspension parts have
been torched off your Dak while you weren't looking. ;-)
I haven't messed with the fan on a GenIII, but it shouldn't
be too difficult. IIRC, the hardest part is getting the stupid
fan shroud out of the way. (And that is why they invented
the Sawzall.) Oops, I hope I didn't say that out loud just
now! ;-)
