Mine seems fairly accurate. When it didn't warm up, I sure did not have
heat, but once I put in the 195, the gauge moved to one third up and I was
nice and cozy for a change. Just my experience of course.

on trucks passed 99 (i think), you can't really trust the temp reading in
the cab. it pretty much just measures whether it's getting a reading, but
not what the reading is. it'll trigger a light if it goes to high, but
otherwise, it's uneccessary (which is why they moved from the actual temp
readings to C - H).
