If you start replacing parts, start with the cheapest, the idler pulley, or
the belt.

Subject: DML: New guy with question

I own a '95 Dakota V6, auto, air, 4x2 that has an intermittent
problem driving me crazy. The truck has a squeal, sometimes. It
happens only when the it's well warmed up -- driven 15-20 miles --
and happens only when going above 25-30mph. The squeal is not
dependant on engine speed.

Serpentine belt was replaced and the idler looks and feels very good.
I'm thinking the fan clutch could be the culprit. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
John
