Interesting info there - I'm a little skeptical of his "if you do this
if you do that if if if..." line of thinking. "if's" worry me.
Anyway.. he does have a good point however. The Ram was the first set
of wheels I bought from a dealer where I had a long term loan. I'm
2/3rds of the way through that loan with about 18 months left @$360 a
month... which is actually a little more than what my monthly payment
is. I've rounded it up to $360 to pay it off a little faster. Really
blows my mind to think i bought that truck almost 4 blasted years ago!

I would LOVE to turn around and pick up a Challenger when the Ram is
done, but thats not going to happen :-)

I'm in a similar situation as Mike, racked up debt on truck projects,
earning power has been low... so I'm really looking forward to when the
truck is paid off. When I moved to wisconsin and got a full time job, I
only had the job for 3 or 4 months before I thought mmm I have a job,
I'll buy a truck... and I didn't save a dime. I've been pay check to
paycheck ever since heh. Oh well... I have all the toys I need for right
now. I've been hammering down the bills pretty hard, so I should be free
and clear by the time the truck is paid off. Then I'm going to go back
down to part time work, or maybe even quit outright (not likely) and I'm
going to get my ass back in college.
