Look at Unocal. As soon as the Chinese company CNOOC made a bid for it,
there was such a huge outcry from all the greybeards who feared they
would use it to jack up oil prices (not that theyre doing it now by
buying every drop they can get). Or look at the Dubai ports fiasco and
how all the idiots got pissed that a foreign company was taking over a
piece of America's Infrastructure. Even though it's wrong theres still
a ton of people who believe the manufacturing industry is still part of
our infrastructure, and theres no way our government would let any
Chinese company take it over.
