Does that mean that there are fewer holes on the LA covers but the ones that
are there do line up with the Magnum heads? If so, would you happen to know
if the ones that line up match where these looms would attach?

I'm using the LA covers on my V6 and have installed them on the 5.2/5.9L as
well. The only thing that I use to keep them sealed are the GM valve cover
hold-down brackets (found at most parts houses in the Mr. Gasket line).

LA valve covers have only 5 bolt holes.
I've used the Made4u vertical looms with no melting issues near my headers.
