   That is correct; the LA bolt pattern is a subset of the Magnum pattern.

  I have LA Valve covers on my Dak. (A couple of the pics from that page
are of my Dak). As far as which bolts are used, just off the top of my
head, I want to say the far left, right and middle on the bottom and the 2nd
one in from each side on the top, but don't take that to the bank. If you'd
like me to check for sure, just let me know and I'd be glad to mosey out to
the barn where it is sleeping for the winter and take a peek.

How are those chrome Edelbrocks holding up? Is it a durable finish and not the type that start looking bad and rusting under a year?
