If you want something that still works as an underdrive but doesn't drain
the battery:

Dodge Viper Crank Pulley (Yes, it fits and is about 1" smaller in diameter)

I've was using the ASP Underdrive pulley for a while and got sick and tired
of the battery draining at idle with the A/C on. The Viper pulley doesn't
drain the battery and still gives you a small underdrive ratio.

Re: DML: (tap tap tap) This thing on?

i think it is running.

our 5.2 92 dak is still kicking...

we backed the under drive pulleys out of our setup and sold them
for about half of what we paid for them.

my wife only drives about three miles a day and every couple of months
the battery would be low...since we went back to stock pulleys it has been
fine.

we changed to an 8 3/4 rear axle a number of years ago....

i curse the 8 1/4...first one i abused...the second one died because it was
a piece of crap....

i will not own a vehicle with a 8 1/4.......

our 8 3/4 is a 3.23 ratio and our in town mileage has suffered...

it is outstanding on the road if you use 3000 rpm before you let it play
with
overdrive....20+ mpg can be optained...

some people have have desputed my claims but if i can run 90 or faster up
stoneman lake
climb on I-17 to flagstaff i can do it in overdrive..if i get dogged down
slower....
3rd gear....

i do have the mopar hi-po cam from years ago....and we bought the JBA
headers that have been
iron horses and look as good as when we installed them

has the years go on i feel the pain of owning one of the old daks.....

but it has been a tough old horse and one of the best mopars i have owned

rob and the ferrets in phx
