I love the KYB Gas-A-Just on my 96, but they are in the $40ish range
and ride stiffer than a standard shock.
OReilly lists a Monroe "Monro-Matic Plus" for $20 each front and rear.
Don't really know much about them other than I have ridden in other
vehicles with them and thought they had a nice ride. I could tell
they weren't a performance shock as the valving was a bit softer, but
this would also be a smoother ride overall for the driver and
passengers. They also have a lifetime warranty on them.
