Yeah, it took longer than I thought it would, but that's ok. I spent the
morning (~3 hours), afternoon (~4 hours), and evening (~5 hours) at it. Not
all of that time was necessarily accomplishing something, though.
I found more than a few references on the 'net about a diff oil change taking
about 45 minutes. Maybe after you've done it a few dozen times, but I think I
spent that long scraping the Permatex off the cover on the first one. The
second one did go faster, once I got out one of those synthetic rust
stripping sanding pads and my electric drill and cleaned it off with that.
The trans (5sp) and transfer case were quicker and much easier. Once I found
the Allen wrench for the trans, at least.
