If it's under warranty, you DO get the fluid and additive with it.

Incedental charges like the Diff fluid and LSD additive, that somehow does
not "come with" getting a brand new rear axle... Yes, I had to pay the bill
or they would not release my truck, no, they would not take the
  fluid back out. I was never quoted a dime, just told that it was 100%
under warranty. 100% my butt...
