Strange but common thing on the 45/545RFE transmission: Low fluid or
overfilled fluid will cause the pressure solenoids to "freak out" and can
cause stalling issues. A loose primary filter will also cause similar
issues along with a "Loss of Prime" code and/or transmission slipping in
low.

Not that we have the same transmission at all, but that's how my problem
started. I always blamed a sticky IAC but I think it may have been the
first signs of my transmission dying.
