I wouldn't suggest a dremel. It would work, but would take a while. I
drilled mine out and used a punch to knock them through. I've done another
set where I had an angle grinder and ground the heads off. The grinder
worked much faster.

Subject: DML: Upper Ball Joint Replacement
I need to replace the upper ball joints on my 1999 4WD Dakota. I purchased a
pair of Moog ball joints to have a local shop install them. I'm starting to
have second thoughts and thinking about doing it myself. It doesn't appear
to
be that difficult a job aside from removing the rivets on the old ones.
What's
the easiest way to remove the rivets? Can I use a dremel tool to cut the
heads
off? Besides the rivets is there anything else difficult in the process or
anything I should be aware of? Thanks for any help.
Bob
