Yup....seen that happen as well.
Obviously we can't look at it physically, but from what was described in the
fuel pump operation...normal Key-ON/Engine-Off operation. Start,
pressurize, stop. Again, until crankshaft rotation is present, the PCM
turns off the relay.

If you haven't thought of it already, you could take the horn relay
and put it into the fuel pump relay spot. They should be the same.
I'm not exactly sure which contacts in the relay socket you would jump
to manualy power up the fuel pump though.
I know from another person who professionaly worked on Dodges that the
Siemens brand relays Dodge used for a while had a tendency to fail
prematurely. If you go get them from the dealer now, the new ones are
made by Tyco. My 1999 Dakota has the Siemens relays, I bought two of
the Tyco ones and keep them in the glove box, just in case...

The actual pumg is at 45 psi. The pump comes on with key and stays on long
enough, 2 seconds, to pressure the rail. Something then is turning it off.
It is less than a year old, and we went thru the symptoms when the pump
failed. I believe something electrically is not "ready" and drops out the
relay. Does any one know how to jumper the fuel pump on? It is as simple
as plugging in something in the relay box?"
