Thanks for the info, guys. I've decided to go with a Dynomax Super
Turbo. Now I have to decide if I want to use a stock tailpipe or come
out in front of the rear wheel. I may stick with stock, behind the
wheel, just to get the pipe a little further from the cab. With
towing, I don't want too much resonance inside.
To follow up on my original question here, months ago, I finally
tracked down the intermittent squeal from the Dakota. As I had
suspected, it was the fan clutch. I didn't want to throw parts at it
and it would only do it once in a while and never at idle. You had to
be going 20-25 mph before it would start. The clutch started sounding
pretty nasty when I started it up a few days ago, so it made the
decision for me.
