Okay, here's my plan:

I've ordered Goodridge brake lines, but they have to make them. 2-4 weeks.

I've ordered a replacement Frozen Rotor.

I can get a reman booster and new M/C (and rear brake shoes and parts kit)
>From RockAuto for ~$250. I'm seriously considering ordering these and
completing the trifecta shotgun fix.

One thing bothers me though, as I look at the damaged rotor again. It is not
grooved at all. The inner half of the inner surface (the half closest to the
hub) is pitted. If I had to guess how it got this way, I would say that the
lower (inner) half of the inner pad came off a long time ago. Because that
portion of the rotor was never touched by the pad, it rusted. When the
material that was left on the inner pad finally wore down (or also came
off), the steel backing plate started rubbing the previously rusted portion
of the inner rotor surface, shining the top of the pitted area, and I caught
it right when this started.

Of course, excessive heat could be what caused the pad to fall apart in the
first place - the material left on the pad was crumbly, almost like volcanic
material.

Does this make sense to anyone?

Ned
