Oil pump and Oil pressure sending unit. However, worn cam bearings will
also cause a loss of oil pressure in the system. 202K miles ona '97 - NICE!
:) (I'm at 137K on my '97)

My 97 Dakota has 202,000 miles on it. It has been running pretty good, but
recently it lost most of its oil pressure after getting warm. If I kept the
rpms up above an idle it would maintain enough pressure to prevent rod
clatter. What do you think the odds are that I could just go with a new oil
pump and get a few more thousand miles out of it?

Thanks,

Ken
