Normally just a wear item...they're really not that hard to change. You'll
(obviously) need to yankt he shafts though and have some new fluid handy.

Thanks Bernd. So how much pain (physical and financial) am I looking at
to get it fixed? Is this commonly just a wear item, or could there be
something else going on that has caused it to fail?
