Then again, sealed beam headlights cost more than the capsule bulbs. On
average, about 3-4 bucks more per headlight. The plastic lenses are
more resistant to rocks and chipping. One rock kicked up into your old
sealed beam and poofta - need a new unit even though the bulb was good.

On the flip side of that however... if you needed to replace the whole
plastic assembly now, its far more than the cost of a sealed beam - so
its probably a washout as to which is better.
