A thin bead of Black RTV is the normal fix. :)

That makes sense, and is certainly worth looking at. Assuming it's the 3rd
brake light seal, if the seal is basically OK, but has lost its flexibility,
is there a recommended way of treating the seal to "renew" it? Or would I
be better off replacing it?
