If you leave all the AFC settings at "0", no harm at all. Just make sure
you have all the other stuff set correctly. I'll send you the connections
and basic AFC settings later on this evening.

So that's all the connections that need to be made? That's it? Sounds
simple.
How important is it to get it dyno tuned? Can it be driven safely with out
a dyno tune for a while?
