Remove the fender shield - makes it VERY easy. I'm replacing the gaskets on
an '04 WJ 4.7L right now (that's a PITA). Make sure you disconnect the
y-pipe before trying to remove the bolts (releases any tension on the
manifolds).

Time on a Ram: 30 minutes
Time on a Dakota: 30 minutes
Time on a WJ: 2 hours

Subject: DML: Exhaust manifold gasket on a 4.7

Hello all,
My passenger side exhaust manifold gasket is leaking on my 2002 QC with a
4.7. I was looking under there and it looks like a real pain to get at the
bolts since the cross member is in the way. Has anyone had to replace
their's and have any tips? How long did it take you?
 Thanks,
Ted
