If the dates on the files are correct, then I think that burger was
BBQ'd on May 27, 2006. That means its not even 2 years old yet; its
still good, right? :-)

Here it is, in its original glory: http://www.jonsteiger.com/temp/tomsburger

*Sigh*... They grow up so fast! :-)

I think that's right. You would have brought it back for BBQ 2007,
and I stuck it in the freezer at that time, but the freezer I stuck it
in was the large fridge which I use during the BBQ and Daktoberfest.
It stays off all year round except for those two dates, I have a
mini-fridge that I run all year round which just has room for a few
drinks and has a tiny freezer section. When I shut the big fridge off
right after the BBQ, I forgot that the burger was in there, so it
actually sat at room temp for a few months. IIRC, I discovered it
when I turned the fridge back on for Daktoberfest '07, and moved the
burger over to the mini fridge's freezer at that time. So yeah, a
bite of that burger would really ruin somebody's year. ;-)

Hehehe! I actually did remove it from the ziplock bag it was in
(simultaneously making sure not to touch it and also not breathing at
the same time) ;-) and double bagged it, heat sealing each bag.

You've got to be careful about that; I mean, I could have buried it
out back near the mud pit, but just think, if I had done that, it
probably would have taken over most of the eastern seaboard and
parts of southern Ontario by now! ;-)
