Check for codes in the door module. Either you have a pinched/cut harness,
hall effect switch in the lower gear is bad, or (most common cause) it's a
bad latch ("Pawl Failure").

OK all you Mopar specialists, I have a problem that I
really need some help figuring out.

Bernd, if you could shed some light on this I'd really
appreciate it. My new Father-in-Law has an 06 Caravan
with the electric sliding doors on both sides. The
slider on the drivers side will unlock and pop open
then stops. You can manually slide the door back with
no problem so nothing is jamming the track. It almost
seems as if the door motor loses power after it
unlocks and pops open that first bit. The door on the
passengers side works properly.

Anyone have any ideas on where to start looking for
problems?

Thanks in advance,

Ray
