I agree - I've used factory valve cover gaskets over and over again without
any leaks as well. Just make sure they surface is clean and tighten them
down properly.
The gaskets on my old V6 were actually dbl-stacked to clear the 1.7:1
rockers - no leaks.

Sorry for replying to my own reply but I forgot to mention I've never had a
mopar valve cover gasket leak. Been reusing my '92 originals for 16 years.
AFAIK, if the bolts are tight, the gasket shouldn't leak. Haven't touched
mine since I changed heads 5 years ago. Dry as a bone! :-)
