A/C systems haven't really changed much at all - high/lower/cycling switches
and the compressor with fuse/relay. Only on the newer '07+ models do they
use a constant ON A/C compressor (electronic PW% modulated swash plate).

Thanks, I had a feeling that is what you were referring to. I used to work
on cars (actual mechanic work) a long time ago when they had carburetors and
the only thing technically electric were window and seat motors
