   What bolt did you stip - a caliper slide pin? Does the GenIII have
a bracket which the caliper slide pins bolt to, or do they go directly
into the knuckle? If there is a bracket, you might be able to replace
it at a junkyard, or if you'd rather not mess with tapping/helicoil
yourself, you could take the bracket to an auto repair shop or a
machine shop and have them do the work. If the thread that is messed
up is in the knuckle itself, you're definitely going to want to go the
helicoil route as a new knuckle will run you $600 or so.

   The form-a-thread stuff probably isn't an option in this case (as
Bernd already mentioned), looks like it is only good to about 300
degrees F, and it also seems kinda weak; max torque on a 1/2" bolt is
16 lb-ft, for example.
