Or even simpler, stick the IAT sensor in your air intake hose or hang it
beside the radiator support in the path of cool air. Just need to splice
in longer wires. That's a bunch more than 20 degrees cooler.

I leave one in the manifold and have one I can move around if necessary at
the track. Just connect to whichever one gives the best performance on a
given day.
