Alberto,

Come up to Austin/Georgetown and I can give you a hand with getting it fixed
up a bit (not for a bunch of money either). The electrical issue is
probably something really minor (can find it rather quickly too) and you
don't have to drop the tank to change out the sending unit (just lift the
bed).

Email me offlist if you're interested. (The Chevy project does sound nice
though - not much of a change on the fuel economy though but parts are a
dime-a-dozen for the Chebby's)

If the old Chevy is a rat rod I would consider trading with the guy.
My idea is better to be 'cool' than be in hot water with a broke down truck.
Might salvage motor and trans for resale....does Chevy have AC?

keep, fix and sell or just sell as is.

1998. So does anyone have any easy fix suggestions on any of these
conditions...or have recommendations on what can be fixed to fetch a
reasonable sale price. I have my eye on a 1954 Chevy someone has for 4995
and was thinking of maybe haggling a little.
