I could fix it easy. With a DPF delete and a few false readings to the o2's!
This would land me in jail though. lol
I drive my truck pretty hard, use the exhaust brake, and make several trips
on the hiway every week. All the problems I've had are from the turbo, egr
and o2's. I've never had the overhead come on with a "filter full" or 80%.
My truck idles most at stop lights. I'd hate to think that I'd have to drive
across houston in stop and go traffic. Even worse would be when they call
for a manditory evacuation of houston for a hurricane. 10-24 hours in bumper
to bumper traffic.
I'd hate to think that i'd have to walk. When my turbo went south the truck
just about left me walking. The vanes got stuck and the turbo wouldn't spool
up. Taking off from a stop light It would pop and sputter untill you mashed
the gas pretty good. Then hold on! As soon as the turbo would spool it would
shift into second half way thru an intersection. Then the tires would break
loose and smoke would pour from the rear tires. Makes it pretty sporty when
the roads are wet.
