   I'm certainly no car audio expert, but 4200 watts, assuming you are
running the equipment at 12v, would require 350 amps, which is the
output of about about 3 normal alternators. A heavy duty alternator
might go to 160 amps, and I *think* a high output may be available
around 200 amps or so, in which case you'd still need a pair of those.

   I don't think an audio system uses full power all the time though,
only at high volumes and when hitting those low bass notes? I believe
you can get away with less power by using some monster capacitors,
which can stay charged up until required. I suppose adding some extra
battery capacity would basically serve the same purpose?
