Best bet - install an accessory battery to handle the electronics and use
the highest rating OEM alternator with 1ga or "0"ga straps from the posts to
Ground and Alternator power.

   I'm certainly no car audio expert, but 4200 watts, assuming you are
running the equipment at 12v, would require 350 amps, which is the output of
about about 3 normal alternators. A heavy duty alternator might go to 160
amps, and I *think* a high output may be available around 200 amps or so, in
which case you'd still need a pair of those.

   I don't think an audio system uses full power all the time though, only
at high volumes and when hitting those low bass notes? I believe you can
get away with less power by using some monster capacitors, which can stay
charged up until required. I suppose adding some extra battery capacity
would basically serve the same purpose?
