The newer SnapOn scanners can get into the TCM as well as some of the Auto
X-Ray's and AutoTap's. If you can get someone to do this, have them reset
the adaptives, run a "Quick Learn", and the drive it. Do NOT turn the
vehicle off for atleast 10 minutes once you have run the quick-learn. The
TCM isn't that smart and does require a minimum of 10 minutes of learning to
keep the new adaptives in memory. If you turn it off before then, you start
all over again.

Bernd, Thanks for the info. Is the dealer the only one with the scan tool
that gets into the TCM? If not what ones would do the trick?
