Jon, check the math again, the $35k in 2006 was already $7000 off
sticker, so assuming it was still $42k you'd be dropping it to the
$22-27K range. MSRP's have also gone up since then and if you're going
for a 4x4 it's several thousand more. If you were going for a fully
loaded 4x4 you're looking at a MSRP of $40K for a 1500 and $50-60K for
a 3500 with the Cummins. I checked around with the websites for the
Northwest's largest dealers, Dave Smith and Lithia they're listing
them online for about $10-15k below MSRP, odds are that you could talk
them down another $5000, so a loaded 4x4 1500 with the Hemi would be
in the low $20k's. A Cummins could probably be had for somewhere in
the $30k's. This is something I'm watching because I'm hoping to
upgrade in May or June assuming I get a promotion by then.
