In the archives you can see my thoughts of using synthetic oil in
extreme abusive situations (2 stroke engine on a yamaha banshee riding
hard on sand dunes), it can be the difference between rebuilding an
engine every two years or every twenty. Of couse the only way you
Dakota will see that level of abuse is if you run it at the drag
strip. Probably not worth it for a daily driver, also in a engine that
old would you want the dirt And sludge in there for 5000 miles
especially with the dust storms in Eastern Washington?
