Yeah, I remember paying $18 for a jug. Can't say I've seen any "sales" on
Mobil1 at Walmart in the last few years though. A lot of parts stores run
specials for 5qts of Mobil1 and a Mobil1 filter for $30 all the time which
is actually a good deal considering the Mobil1 filter normally runs $10-$12
by itself. And that includes the extended performance oil for the same
price which is usually $1 a qt more expensive than the non-extended
performance stuff.

   Wheee! Two whole dollars? They used to have better sales than
that! :-) The stuff I've got sitting on the shelf was either $15 or
$17, IIRC. So, looks like the deal I got is still a good one. I was
worried for a sec there that my motor oil investment wasn't staying
ahead of inflation. :-)
