I don't remember the exact wires, but there is a difference between the '00
and the '01 mirror harnesses. You can make it work, but it's not plug and
play. The connectors are the same but the wire locations are different.

Subject: DML: 2001 power mirrors on a 2000... wiring Q

Hey guys!

Okay, here's my dilemma. My 2000 Dakota has power cow catchers... I mean,
these mirrors are big! I have an opportunity to get some power sport mirrors

from a 2001 Dakota, but I notice they carry a different part number than the

same power sport mirrors for a 2000. I'm sure the difference is probably the

wiring harness seeing as how the power mirror controls on a 2000 are right
at the top of the door panel, while they are in the door's armrest (next to
the power window controls) on a 2001. Here comes the question: Anyone know
the actual difference in these mirrors? I'm looking to put these on my 2000
with minimal hassle, and I detest soldering and messing with wiring
harnesses. I'm kinda' hoping the difference in part numbers is just because
they have different lengths of wiring harnesses. Thanks in advance!
