Not something I'd thought about. I generally don't have any
unexplained diff leaks that I could blame on the practice but that's
hardly a canon of evidence that it's harmless since I often do have
seeping seals due to an out of balance driveshaft or rip them up when
I break an axle shaft or somesuch....
