First off, year of truck and engine size would be helpful.
If you had 4 wires reversed I'm extremely surprised that you weren't
experiencing serious driveability issues, since you effectively had a 4
cylinder.
I will also assume that you had high HC and CO due to 4 cylinders of fuel
just flowing through the engine without the benefit of combustion.........
No idea about health of CAT....
